This was a very exciting shoot for me, as it was something completely out of the box, and meant working with someone new.
I felt very privalleged that she had chosen me as the photographer that she wanted to work with.
We used a pretty little Connemara x Arab called Misty from Tyncwm livery yard near Capel Bangor owned by Roz Lees.
The location was perfect in terms of creating some sort of reality to the images while making the Lord of the Rings feel believable.
Was really impressed with the final images as far as working with horses, models and props went, and Charlie is really happy with the images also which makes me happy :)

Rhys Davies & Blaenllain Doodleba's Supreme
I had the wonderful pleasure of meeting Rhys and his lovely mare Bugsy. He is a beautiful little rider with tons of potential and is one to look out for in the future.
I was very lucky to be allowed to photograph this amazing duo, and in such a beautiful landscape also. I can't wait to work further with these two and to see how they get on in the competition world in the next couple of years.

Lampeter Stallion Show 2013
For the past 2 years I haven't been able to go showing myself, therefore I decided to get my butt into gear and get out to some shows to photograph. First of which Lampeter Stallion Show.
Theres quite a few equine photographers out there, its bitchy, its hard work, but i've stuck at it. Being a competitor i can understand what sort of photographs I would love to see myself therefore I find it easier to get the right photographs for the right discipline.
I hope you like them as much as i do. To see the full album please go to my facebook page here;

Behind the scenes of filming!
Publicity of my photography expertise seems to have been paying off well as I was recommended to help out on a filming production for the Old Rectory on the Lake. It was only something simple like working the lights, and helping out in any way I could, which I was more than happy to do as sometimes I find you can learn a lot more by standing back and just assisting.
'The Old Rectory on the lake nestles on the side of Cadair Idris in southern Snowdonia and enjoys spectacular views across Tal-y-Llyn to the steep sided mountain opposite. Situated mid way between Machynlleth, Dolgellau and the coastal village of Aberdyfi The Old Rectory on the lake offers homely accommodation and is the ideal place to get away from it all and unwind. It also is a great base from which to explore the Snowdonia National Park.'
We went to a few locations in the area for filming, some I am keeping quiet until the film is released.
I met a few photographers one of which camera man Adam Dorogdi who had travelled up from Cardiff to help with the filming.
I also had the pleasure of meeting Camilla Norberg from the Deco Shop in Machynlleth as she had worked on the Old Rectory and some of the rooms, interior designing.
Last but not least Sara Eade, who is a family and social historian, who helped during interviews to give some information as to the places we were filming and its importance.
I was able to get some behind the scene photographs and here they are! :)
Rain, Rain, Rain.
It finally felt like we had summer, until around 11th of April we were back to rain! Taking advantage of the fact that I had done a little gardening trying to salvage some of the plants and putting them in pots, I thought i'd try some macro style photography in my back garden, using the plants and whatever was surrounding to get some raindrop style photographs. I wanted to create quite impacting images with using the simplicity of lines from the plants, with the delicacy of the rain drops.
With only these couple of snapshots, I was happy with the results, especially for something unplanned and just on a whim.
It also gave me the chance to play around with various textures on both the plants and the raindrops, trying to get each subject to bring out the best in the other.
Overall I really like these images and they are extremely pleasing to the eye and could possibly turn into another project idea.

Powys Annual Tattoo Convention.
Being a fan of tattoos, my friend Catrin invited me along to a tattoo convention that she was attending to get her sleeve finished. I went on the basis to photograph the event to give them some publicity, and as a subject that could work effectively in my portfolio as some documentary style photographs.
The event was well organised, and there was a great turnout over the two days. I even got my first tattoo!!
Big thank you to Rob Williams of El Diablo Tattoo Studios, Machynlleth for getting me in as a photographer an for letting me buzz about your station getting photographs.
There was also live bands playing (The Callout), open mic and even face painting which added to the atmosphere of the event!
Well done to X Angelus Studios for holding the event and Bex with her amazing organisational skills and for raising around £3500 for the Air Ambulance & the April Fund.
So here are the photographs, hopefully they can say more than anything I could write in the description :)
